honestly the best sushi in ct. this place has ruined all other sushi for me. ill be eating something and think "this is good, but its not hana." i order on average 1-2 times a month. the staff is great and the food is incredible. the rice is out of this world, the texture is great and its so delicately, perfectly seasoned. the fish is the main attraction which is what matters. i tell everyone to go here because they havent tried sushi until theyve tried hana sushi.on a personal note, im recovering from horrible food poisoning at the time of writing. all i could think of stomaching was mackerel and hana rice. i asked for a custom mackerel roll (as pictured, in the right side of the container) and its incredible. maybe its the cracker diet talking but its the best thing ive ever eaten. yellow tail, scallions, and avocado inside, topped with thick mackerel and avocado. its like my mind was read, this restaurant has the best understanding of flavor out of pretty much any other ive eaten at, regardless of cuisine. chicken soup was enough to make me ill during my recovery, but this meal is making me feel normal again, and my stomach feels great. i seriously cannot recommend this place enough.

I didn't want to leave a review because this place is soo good! Excellent sushi and the prices can't be beat. The service was impeccable and our sushi/rolls were fresh and beautifully crafted. They have an extensive menu of special rolls. Definitely worth the trip.

I am very pleased with my experience at Hana Sushi. All the food that I got was excellent. The service was great, and our waiter was very accommodating and helpful. The waiter was very kind and was doing her best to help my sister who was taking care of her 12 month old daughter, it warmed my heart to see how kind and helpful the waiter was.Furthermore, the sushi rolls were excellent. There are so many unique options of rolls, and they all look good. They even have seasonal rolls for Christmas. My family ordered maybe 6 or 7 different types of rolls and they all looked and tasted great. Next time I go, I will be taking photos so I can post them here.All in all, Hana Sushi is a really great place to stop if you are in the mood for a unique and flavorful sushi roll.

The hot dishes were delicious. We had the tatsuta age (breaded and deep fried with katsu sauce) & katsudon (breaded and fried katsu pork with egg onions and veggies over rice). The miso soup and ginger salad was good. I had to give it 3 stars because the sushi was not fresh and I've had better. Our server was very attentive and special. We liked Mathew a lot. The sushi chef unfortunately had a foul mouth. It was our first time here. It's a restaurant, not a pub. Unfortunately, we do not plan on coming back.
